The Patient’s Attitude of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Public Health Services
Abstract
This research was aimed to 1) study the perception of health care and demand of traditional Chinese medicine of
the patient in the public health services 2) study the people’s attitude of traditional Chinese medicine 3) apply the data for
traditional Chinese medicine program in Thailand to generate a new staff sufficiently. The population of this research was
from 120 patients who were treated by traditional Chinese medicine in the public health services in SamutSongkhram and
surrounding provinces. The data was compiled with using the questionnaire with 3 parts; part 1 – general information, part 2
– attitude of the understanding and satisfaction of traditional Chinese medicine and part 3 – suggestions. The statistics for
data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation.
As to the research result, the patients who were treated by traditional Chinese medicine in the public health
services had knowledge and the understanding of traditional Chinese medicine in the low level, and the satisfaction of
traditional Chinese medicine was in the high level.
